Summary:

      In order to discover the cause of headache, its relation to other physical or emotional symptoms has to be determined. Once this clear, the headache can be treated effectively. Ninety percent of headaches are not caused by any underlying medical condition. Of the 21 kinds of head pain noted by the National Headache Foundation, the most common are tension headaches and migraine.
